Premier League

The Netball SA Premier League competition provides a pathway for our athletes to the Netball Australia Suncorp Super Netball competition including the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Southern Force teams.

High Performance Programs

High Performance Programs are a Netball SA Club licence requirement. These invitational programs are available for identified athletes selected by the Head Coach and executive committee and are designed to enhance their performance in all aspects of netball.

Junior Emerging TID Development Program

This program recognises athletes who, at a point in time, have been identified as having the potential to represent their club at a high level of netball. Players in the Inter 1/2, Junior 1/2 and Sub Junior 1 and Primary 1 teams participate in an extensive 6 week development program run by our Premier League coaching team, Premier League players and special guest coaches. This program is included in the club fees.

Diamonds Development Program

A fitness and skills development program available on an opt-in basis to all junior players aged 10 – 17 who are not already part of the TID programs. The 4 week program is run by experienced club and guest coaches and is included in the club fees.

NetSetGo

Oakdale Netball Club runs introductory netball sessions in line with the Netball Australia, Suncorp NetSetGo initiative.

Primary People

This is a pre-season program ahead of Winter registrations for 9 to 14 year old players who are new to, or considering, the club. The day features Premier League players as well as our qualified junior coaching team. Participation is free.

Umpiring Development

Oakdale Netball Club participates in the Netball SA Green Shirt umpiring program, an initiative in which new or inexperienced officials wear a coloured shirt that makes them easily recognisable to players and spectators. The primary objective is for people to identify these officials as “learners” and understand that they may make mistakes and that harassment of these umpires will not be tolerated. The secondary objective is to provide mentoring and support to the beginner umpire to ensure a solid foundation for their continuing development for years to come.

Oakdale also runs a beginner umpires workshop, aimed at young club players who wish to begin their umpiring career.
