President’s Welcome

A very warm welcome to Oakdale Netball Club.

Whether it is your first season with us, or you are a returning player, we are excited that you made Oakdale your destination.

You have chosen a strong club, with 42 teams of female and male athletes right through from Sub-Primary Level to Premier League as of Winter 2025. Whichever team you are in, whether you are here for fun and friendships, or here to test how far your game can go, we hope you find it to be a supportive and inclusive environment and we promise to do our best to make your experience with Oakdale a positive one.

We expect our athletes to be fierce, but fair, to never put themselves above the needs of the team, to train hard, always respect each other, the opposition, and the umpires, but also to have some fun along the way. We consider Oakdale to be just the right kind of serious.

If you have joined us as a junior athlete, we encourage you to take advantage of the development programs on offer. These are not just for High Performance athletes – the same training elements have been built into our Diamonds Development program for Sub Junior through to Inter athletes from any division, and in our Primary People program for Primary age athletes. We are the only club to offer everyone development in this way.

We also hope our younger players, enjoy the chance to connect with and learn from our Premier League Squad members through our buddies program. To our senior players, I encourage you to nurture these connections, as they will mean more to our little Oakies than you can imagine.

You will find a wealth of information about Oakdale, our policies and our events here on the club website. There are so many ways in which you can take part in and contribute to our community, both on and off the court. We also encourage you to explore the services on offer from all of our club and player partners. Please support them to thank them for their vitally important support of us.

Thank you to all of the parents and volunteers who get involved in our club in ways big and small. Your contribution means everything to us.

Whether new or returning, you are now a vital part of our proud community in purple. You are helping to write the next chapter for club with a respected 60+ year history of creating both champion players, and champion people. Take to the court with confidence, knowing that with all of us behind you, you are now Stronger In Purple too.
